Psalm 23:1-4
Our spotlight is on Jesus as The Good Shepherd, an enduring image found throughout the Old and New Testaments, serving as a powerful metaphor for God’s unwavering care and love for us. In this metaphor, we are depicted as sheep, and while this analogy may not initially appear flattering, it mirrors our human experiences. Within this narrative, Jesus emerges as the embodiment of the Good Shepherd, willingly sacrificing His own life to ensure the safety and well-being of his flock. His role is to protect, guide, and nurture us, symbolizing God’s deep love and care for each individual within His fold.
